First Alternative's Gem Lights is designed to attach magnetically to a readily available camera light. This light is designed to simulate daytime sunlight. It has a built-in rechargeable battery which will run up to 24 hours on a charge when used at the recommended 10% intensity level. A phone app can also control it, allowing access to additional settings.
The light source is designed to attach to any standard (1/4" 20 thread) camera mount, of which hundreds can choose from. This allows the end user to select something that works best for them and the available space. You'll see examples of a few ways you can easily mount the system throughout the website. This setup keeps the system's cost down and provides maximum flexibility. The other units on the market are much larger and bulkier and require power hookup for general use.
