Why Do you Need this Test?
When you are a customer of First Alternatives, you are family. Sometimes you need to help a family member realize what's right for them because you care about their best intentions. To show you the power of this test we are going to give you a real example of how this test will not only help you know what "healthy" foods are possibly causing your inflammation but also, learn what foods that you can and should eat that are healthy for you.
How Does it Work
We use a scientifically and medically accepted method of measuring antibodies in the body called Enzyme Linked Immuno-Assay (ELISA). This methodology is also used in many other aspects of medicine such as in the diagnosis of viruses, bacterial infections, and allergy testing. Food Sensitivity is related to the body's natural immune response and production of a class of antibodies categorized as IgG antibodies. Much like in allergic reaction, in which the body produces IgE antibodies, there is an immune response that leads to inflammation. However, unlike a serious allergic reaction, a food sensitivity inflammatory response is much delayed and can manifest itself in many different forms. Because of the high level of specificity that antibodies have, our test can recognize which IgG antibodies are being produced by the body due to a particular food you are eating and thus causing a food sensitivity.
Food & Inflammation
The Role of Intestinal Permeability
Recent research indicates that abnormal or increased permeability of the gut or intestine plays a significant role in food sensitivities and can be an environmental cause of inflammation.
Identify Reactive Foods
By Identifying and temporarily avoiding reactive foods, the process of inflammation is disrupted while simultaneously healing the lining of the gut.
Disrupting the inflammation cycle and decrease the symptoms by eliminating trigger foods.
